Moonee Valley is one of the world's unique racecourses.

It is home to Australia's best race - the Group 1 $3 million Tatts Cox Plate (2040m). The weight-for-age championship has been won by greats of the Australian turf including Sunline, Northerly, Kingston Town, Phar Lap and Makybe Diva.

El Segundo made amends for his narrow defeat in the race in 2006 to win the 2007 Tatt's Cox Plate in dominant fashion and give trainer Colin Little and jockey Luke Nolen their first taste of success in Moonee Valley's signature event.
