MEMBERS' DRESS REGULATIONS
Through extensive Members feedback, Moonee Valley Racing Club has decided to restructure the Members’ Dress Regulations for 2011/12 and reduce to two categories; dress regulations for day race meetings and dress regulations for night race meetings.
DAY RACE MEETINGS
(including Tatts Cox Plate Day)
Gentlemen (including children 15 and over) are required to wear a collar and tie, tailored trousers and either a suit coat, sports coat or blazer.
Ladies are expected to maintain a suitable standard of dress in keeping with the distinction of the Members’ Reserve.
NIGHT RACE MEETINGS
Gentlemen (including children 15 and over) are required to wear a collared shirt (polo shirts not permitted) with tailored trousers. No tie is required and suit coat, sports coat or blazer is optional.
Ladies are expected to maintain a suitable standard of dress in keeping with the distinction of the Members’ Reserve.
MEMBERS' RESERVE
The following items of clothing or similar are not permitted in the Members' Reserve at any time:
Gentlemen - Any variation of runner (including joggers), sandals, thongs or any dilapidated footwear. Denim and denim-look clothing, jeans, jodhpurs, shorts, shirts without a collar, polo shirts, parkas, windbreakers, tracksuits, jackets including bomber jackets, duffle coats, untailored leather jackets, peaked caps, beanies, pullovers or cardigans without a jacket, sporting guernseys.
Ladies - Any variation of runner (including joggers), thongs or any dilapidated footwear. Denim and denim-look clothing, jeans, jodhpurs, shorts, polo shirts, parkas, windbreakers, tracksuits, jackets including bomber jackets, duffle coats, untailored leather jackets, peaked caps, beanies, sporting guernseys, any clothing revealing bare midriff.
Children under 15 are expected to maintain a suitable standard of dress all year round.
NB. Members and their guest/s may be refused entry to the members' Reserve by MVRC staff if it is felt that these standards are not being adhered to. MVRC management reserves the right to exercise discretion in respect to dress code.
