Pierro Returns To Begin Spring Campaign

Gai Waterhouse's triple Group 1-winning 2YO Pierro returned to Tulloch Lodge on Monday to prepare for his spring campaign.

The unbeaten colt looks set to be targeted toward a possible Group 1 Sportingbet Cox Plate at Moonee Valley following an unbelievable juvenile season which resulted in Group 1 victories in the Golden Slipper (1200m), the Inglis Sires' Produce (1400m) and the Champagne Stakes (1600m).

A stud deal is yet to be secured for Pierro, but believed to be worth up to $20 million as a stallion.
