The Manikato An Affair To Remember

Pride is confident Rain Affair is a Group One winner in the making.

The talented four year old was the bridesmaid in two Group Ones during the Autumn Carnival in Sydney earlier this year.

Rain Affair was beaten by Master of Design in the TJ Smith and was not disgraced coming second to the unbeaten filly Atlantic Jewel in the All Aged Stakes.

Connections are certain come spring time, Rain Affair will claim that elusive Group 1 victory.

"He has been back in the stable for three weeks," Pride said to AAP.

"He might just have three races in the spring with two lead-ups in the Shorts and the Premiere Stakes before the Manikato.

"I think the surface at Moonee Valley will suit him much better," he said.

"He is also much better coming off a bend which is another reason not to go to Flemington."
