Mosheen’s Mission For Cox Plate Glory

Glamour mare Mosheen’s Cox Plate quest begins this weekend at Flemington with a 1200m sprint.

Mosheen will resume in the Group 3 Bobbie Lewis as she prepares to be Victoria’s main chance of winning the Sportingbet Cox Plate on the 27th of October.

Trainer Robert Smerdon stated Mosheen has recovered well from her recent throat operation and is very excited about her Spring chances.

Smerdon is considering changing her path to the Cox Plate.

Mosheen is likely to emulate the path of last years Cox Plate winner Pinker Pinker with a crack at the Epsom Handicap at Randwick in early October.

Connections had chosen the Cox Plate as Mosheen’s main target after her successful autumn campaign in Sydney.

In early Cox Plate markets Mosheen touched $7 but has since drifted to $13 after her minor throat surgery.
